Since 1956, Evans has been synonymous with innovation when it comes to drum heads. Being the very first company to invent the synthetic drumhead which resulted in drum heads being longer lasting and having a more consistent tone. As time has progressed, the Evans brand continued to progress with their innovations, introducing, the Sound-Shaping Technology edge control rings found on the EC series, the popular EMAD system, the Level 360 Technology, Small Dry Vents found on some snare and bass drum heads, and their latest innovation the UV Technology, thus carrying on their mission on being "The Most Technically Advanced Drumheads on Earth."

EVANS UV TECHNOLOGY

Coated drumheads have for too long been susceptible to tone-killing breakage and wear caused by sustained playing. Unwanted overtones, dented heads, dirty looking drums—these are the things Evans have sort out to fix.

With a proprietary UV treatment process, they created a revolutionary coating that can finally withstand repeated blows, strikes, and strokes. UV means keeping your heads fresher for longer, and spending less time tuning, modding, and swapping them out.

EVANS EMAD BASS DRUMHEADS

Evans Externally Mounted Adjustable Damping system (EMAD) enables you to get the best tone from your bass drum — anytime, anywhere.

EMAD's innovative design allows instant adjustment of your drumhead's attack and focus, simply by placing whichever of the two included foam rings you prefer into the external sleeve. You can even leave the foam out and let the empty sleeve create a wide open, resonant sound, with just a touch of control. With EMAD, you're free to hone your tone whenever and however you want.
