ddrum is an American based Swedish company, that manufactures acoustic drum sets, electronic drum sets, and Electronic Triggers. Ddrum was originally a brand of Clavia, makers of the Nord series of keyboards and synthesizers. In 2005, the company was sold to Armadillo, which expanded the brand from only electronic drums into a wider range of products to include acoustic kits, snares, hardware and accessories. Long considered an innovator in electronic drums, they built on that history by being the first to use 100% Ash shells for our acoustic kits. They also led the way with deeper bass drums at a time when they were traditionally only available through custom drum makers. Their blended shells (maple inner and ash outer ply) were an industry first as was their use of Alder – a wood known for warm tone and punchy attack.
DDRUM DIOS
North American maple shells form the core of these pro-quality drums. Outfitted with ddrum's original bullet tube lug in chrome. Dios shell hardware has been upgraded to include ddrum's proprietary Fixpitch mounting system. This allows maximum resonance with added stability. Bass drums feature their Resolifts which allows decoupling of the bass drum from the floor, as well as providing extra stability to minimize forward creep. Bass drum claws now feature rubber tips, to allow the bass drum to be stored vertically if necessary while protecting the matching wood hoops
DDRUM HYBRID
This fully functioning Birch acoustic drum set, has the addition of their industry-leading acoustic pro triggers. Seamlessly switch from a fully acoustic setup to a fully electronic setup simply by changing to the mesh heads and letting the built-in triggers do the rest. This kit can even be used as reduced-volume acoustic kit, blending the best aspects of both acoustic and electronic drumming to achieve the ideal hybrid sound. The ddrum Hybrid has unlimited versatility for live playing, studio recording, or just blowing off some steam at home.
DDRUM JOURNEYMAN2 RAMBLER
The Journeyman's benefits are especially streetwise in ddrum's Rambler configuration. The boom of this bass drum, the crack of this snare, and the rideable glory of three powerful toms ensure you'll never feel underpowered. The shells are crafted from blended birch and basswood for focused tone and satisfying low end. The black hardware is powder-coated and die-cast hybrid lugs ensure a reliable tune.
